I met up with a friend recently at her new apartment on Everton Road, and these are some of the things I saw.
Everton Road and it's adjacent and adjoining roads are lined with pre-war shophouses, a hybrid of colonial and Asian architectural styles, indigenous to Southeast Asia. All have gorgeous details, some of which have been lovingly retained and refurbished.
I love how all this is newly historical... :)
