I have saved this one from the MAYA & RUHI Marie Antoinette Collection for this month's giveaway. A delicate and feminine 14K gold plated filigree, with ash-grey Swarovski crystals, and 14K gold filled ear wires.

This Collection is ultra-feminine with a touch of whimsy, and is an ode to Sofia Coppola's "Marie Antoinette" with Kirsten Dunst as the French queen. I love the costumes, the art direction, and especially how Coppola depicts the young royals with a touch of rock 'n roll.

Amongst a slew of new Baby and Mini Klimts, a whole bunch of these little Bird's Nests are part of my latest shipment to KL -- taking off sometime this week as soon as I am done with the sweat-inducing paperwork. In non-tarnish brass and silver, and a plethora of colours (malachite, amethyst, turquoise, pearl, etc.), though not in this particular one...


This giveaway number is of hemimorphite, which has a rather hypnotic hue of powdery electric blue. You gotta see it to believe it. Hemimorphite is pretty gorgeous. And according to crystal lore, it's an all-round "good luck" stone that lifts the spirits and promotes self-esteem. (Something I seriously lack when it comes to paperwork...)

A large, dramatic Klimt hoop, decked with onyx, cream Swarovski pearl, lavender agate, and turquoise. The hoops are 5cm in diameter, and hang about 5.7cm from the bottom of the ear wire.

Entirely handmade with non-tarnish brass, and topped with a 14K goldfilled ear wire, the Klimt earrings is a tribute to the artistic genius of Austrian artist, Gustav Klimt.

If you remember, these are happy experiments from my Metal Clay course.


These are wonderfully random filigreed pillows, and measure around 3cm in diameter. The filigree is of 99.9 pure silver, while the ear wire is of 925 silver.

I have been having a lot of fun the past few Fridays, learning all about Metal Clay and what it can do. And I am so looking forward to getting more super-cool rings done. I attempted one at home the other day, but it broke before I could fire it. :( I guess I really should wait until the entire course is over, and get to know the full basics first. I have 2 more Fridays left. Tommorow, we shall be making a chunky ring. I can't wait!
