Scenes from Sentosa

As a result from all that fun in the sun, I am now a stoopid shade of red. Nevertheless, it has been a super break. Those Two had a blast, and I feel like I haven't bent a wire for the longest time. Highly refreshing. :)

Thing To Do (For The Next Couple Of Days)

Maya has mid-term holidays, so we're off to the resort island of Sentosa for a short break. No jewelry, no emails, no crafting, no designing. Just running after Those Two running around Sentosa.

Gratuitous fabulous jewelry pic

Marc Newson's "Julia" necklace for Boucheron. Marc Newson, being the design ingenue that he is, based this design on fractals, mathematical formulae of structures. This particular one is based on a formula discovered by mathematician Gaston Julia.

This one-off piece is made from 2000 pieces of sapphires and diamonds, and took the people at Boucheron 1500 man-hours to put together. Please click here to see it in all its close-up glory. You have to click the 'reveal' to get it started. You might have to wait a little while it loads. 'Coz only a super-fancy webpage can do this justice...

OK. Somebody just slap me right now. So I can wipe the drool off the keyboard.

Makes Me Laugh

The Three Amigos are Lucky Day (Steve Martin), Ned Niederlander (Martin Short), and Dusty Bottoms (Chevy Chase).

Set in the silent movies era, they a band of Hollywood heroes who unwittingly answer a small Mexican town's newspaper ad for a hero strong, brave and ruthless enough to tackle the resident gangster, El Guapo, thinking it's a gig.

Watch what happens when they roll into town on assignment...

Ah, what a classic! Kills me every time.

I call these my Mini Klimts. This particular pair is of olive agate, rose pink Swarovski pearl, and a faceted amazonite. I love how this has a sweet yet moody feel about it. Cute yet sexy, and modern and classic at the same time!

The hoops are about 3.3cm in diameter, and the earring hangs at a length of 4cm from the bottom of the 14K gold filled ear wire.

Just leave a comment at this post if you are interested in receiving these for free! The winner will be announced on September 4th's post, so you have until then to leave your comment... Good luck!

New commissioned stuff

Rainbow agates with silver rhodium rings

Large round Klimt with red aventurine, pink agates,
yellow polymer clay, amethyst and Swarovski pearls

These were made on request from one of my best customers EVER.

The top pair with the rainbow agates is a super call on her part, a variation of the cream pearls with silver rings and coral with silver rings.

As for the large round Klimt, she had sent me pic of a gorgeous blue velvet jacket she had recently acquired, and this is what we decided on. A vibrant, funky number that can go cool and pretty or warm and sexy, depending on what she will be wearing with the jacket this fall. ;)
